Business Security Systems
In every access control system, entries and exits are allowed by entering a code,
swiping a magnetically striped card through a reader,
or passing a badge near a proximity reader., whether it’s one door for
small businesses or large multi-site facilities. Activity is
electronically recorded by a stand alone program, via PC or integrated on your network.
Stand alone access control can secure your building at a fraction of the cost of traditional access control systems with almost the same amount of features and control. You still have the options of Biometric as well as traditional wiegand proximity cards or you can go as simple as a standard code for the single door. The advantage is the cost savings with less additional hardware than a traditional PC managed access control system but at the same time you are limited on choices if the unit is faulty or breaks over time, you will have to replace the entire unit instead of replacing a reader, or lock on a door.
